About Me

I’m Eleanor Healer — a Midwife, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Educator, and Expert Witness.
For more than 20 years I’ve worked across midwifery practice, education, and leadership, and for the past 14 years I’ve developed specialist expertise in medico-legal, ethical, and human rights issues in maternity care.

Through my Independent Maternity Record Reviews, I provide clear, objective assessments of maternity notes and birth stories — helping families understand their care, identify concerns, and, if desired, prepare or strengthen complaints.

I bring the same commitment to every case and learning experience: clear, evidence-based guidance, a compassionate approach, and the ability to make complex information accessible and supportive for those I work with.
